A Mile Too Far
A Mile Too Far
Formed in 2008, A Mile Too Far has become a trio of many genres. Although focusing on acoustic music, we also experiment with metal and other genres.
Barefoot Wade
Barefoot Wade
"Barefoot Wade" has played well over 2000 shows in his career. He regularly travels from West Virginia to Key West and the Caribbean doing energetic shows and entertaining diverse crowds. He has released two full albums independently, and has had countless magazine and newspaper articles written about him as well as several radio and television interviews. He is also currently recording shows for an upcoming live album.

The barefoot musician has best been described as a "One-Man-Caribbean-Jam-Band". On stage, Wade employs the use of Acoustic and Electric guitars, Bass guitars, Steel Drum, lots of various Percussion, Keyboards, and Kazoos. He is able to play these instruments simultaneously through a process known as "Loop Sampling". This gives the aural illusion of a full band. His musical style combines elements of Reggae, Rock, Americana and Comedic Country blended into his own original sound. He primarily plays solo, but also has a smoking hot back up band which is available upon request.

Barefoot Wade has opened up for a wide range of national acts. Some of these include David Allan Coe, Molly Hatchet, Lotus, Ekoostic Hookah, DJ Williams Project, Purple Schoolbus and the side bands of String Cheese Incident and The Disco Biscuits. Being that he has an Island edge, Aside from the festival scene, Barefoot Wade is quite active in the tourist town beach bar scene as well. Entertaining a crowd comes naturally to him and he always manages to make the audience feel that they are an important part of the performance as well.

Wade spends most of his time on the road promoting himself and doing the job of a manager, booking agent, and performer. He enjoys traveling and is always looking to play any city, state or country that he has never played in before. He has a strong sense of adventure, a good work ethic, and a laidback attitude that makes him a pleasure to work with. He regularly plays festivals, beach bars, city functions, college parties, and occasionally a fun restaurant. However, he does not play weddings.
