Inflowential
Inflowential
Inflowential began in the spring of 2003 when two high school friends, Bender (Bass Guitar) and A-did (Vocal Percussion) moved next door to each other in their first apartments while attending North Carolina State University. They began to spend their free time playing music together and after A-did met Tab-One (Emcee) at a mutual friend's house party, Inflow was created. The additions of the super talented song writer Charlie Smarts (Emcee) and smooth playing of Kyle (Guitar/Keys) completed the groups original sound. They have gone on to enter and win many battle of the bands competitions, the two most notable being a 1st place ranking in the 2006 Atlantic Records Talent Competition at The Hip Hop Symposium at NCCU and a 1st place finish in the MTVU's Nationwide Battle of the Bands competition in 2008.

Inflow is sort of an enigma, as they fit snugly onto almost any music bill. Caught somewhere in between hip hop and alternative music genres, they have played along such hip hop acts as Wyclef Jean, and Snoop Dogg, but they fit right in while touring the U.S.with rock/country act Rehab and playing alongside West African/American mash up band Toubab Krewe.

Unique to Inflowential’s sound, instead of a drummer, their live percussionist drops the breaks as a human beat box. Clearly influenced by early-mid-‘90s groups, Inflowential definitely brings clarity back to hip-hop through their sound and message, and college campuses are eating it up.

Inflowential slides comfortably across genre labels, including blues, rock and reggae, using their live instruments and jazzy undertones to create tracks with an energy and power that feels fresh.
